Your Neighbors at Texas Grand Ranch wish To Say

We are glad to see new members in our community.  It is certain you will find your neighbors friendly and eager to have you as a neighbor.  There are a few things that will help you settle in to your new surroundings. We have compiled a list of things to know as well as resources you may find helpful.

If you have been here a while but, still need some assistance, feel free to use this information.

To start, lets look at some information about our Association:

1. As you are aware we have a set of agreements we live by.  These are the Bylaws, the Conditions, Covenants and Restrictions, and the Architecture Review Committee rules.  You should have received these at closing of your property.  However, you may find them at "Town Square".  Town Square is the web based resource center for the property management company. The property manager can assist you with setting up the Town Square site by contacting him,  Manager Erik Feller at (713) 405-3994 or by email at HITGRmanager@goodwintx.com for assistance.

2. The property management company is Goodwin.  This company is a world wide organization with many properties that they manage around the world.

3. Your Property Owners' Association board of Directors are:

             Mike Richardson  -  President

             Tom Stevenson     - Vice President

              Greg Finn             - Treasurer

              Launnie Danley    - Secretary

              Alex Story             - Member

              Lance Raun          - Member

              Kyle Cox               - Member

4. A very important committee is the Architecture Review Committee (ARC).

5. We have a Social Committee which plans several activities in the community.

6. The Board of Directors is a volunteer group that spends many hours weekly to manage and assist our community.        They have a workshop every Monday, monthly board meeting and untold hours of work contacting contractors.             In addition they must coordinate the work around the community.  Then they also spend a lot of time consulting              attorneys concerning the many legal issues.

Roads are always important:

The road system in TGR is owned by Walker County.  It is the county that maintains both the pavement and the right of way.  The county is responsible to mow the right of way and they do it only twice per summer.  However, with the growth of the grass the POA has contracted for two additional mowing's.  In addition to that it is necessary to engage a contractor to trim the fire hydrants, telephone poles etc.  Each resident should maintain their lot  to the roadway.

Social Activities

If you are new to TGR you will find that our social committee is active and there are many ways to plug into the community.  See the events page for opportunities for social involvement.  To name a few: the Old Men's Group (OMG), Coffee with Karen, various Bible study groups, picnics at the park and a celebration of Easter with the annual Easter Sunrise Service at the Dedication Park.

This is not an official POA website or calendar of events.  We provide this information as a public service.  We hope it makes your scheduling a little easier.
